Summit for Parkinson’s is hosting a three-day event in Missoula, Montana to raise awareness, educate and inspire those in the Parkinson’s community, and to raise funds for our organization and the Brian Grant Foundation which supports our efforts in Montana.

Parkinson’s Conference at the Holiday Inn Parkside for up to 150 people. The conference will include speaking guests Dr. Matt Brodsky from OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University), Dr. Sherry Reid from Montana Neuro Behavioral Specialists, Fernando Cardozo from The University of Montana and Candace Crosby, psychotherapist and author of a forthcoming book with chapters on the Parkinson's journey from a family perspective. It will also include four workshops focusing on brain and movement exercises with Sherryl Klingelhofer, writing and fine art with Montana Living Arts, and Dance with the University of Montana Dance Department. Attendees will also have an opportunity to register and learn how to use the new Brian Grant website which is designed to connect Parkinson’s patients with on-line resources, Parkinson’s event opportunities, and patients and doctors in their area. This conference is also an excellent opportunity to connect and meet with others living with Parkinson’s.

Art auction and gala at the Dana Gallery for up to 120 guests. The evening will include an appetizer/cocktail meet and greet time, sit-down dinner, viewing of the closed silent auction items made by people with Parkinson’s Disease, live auction with 40 well-known Northwest artists’ works, and special guests Brian Grant and Enzo Simone.
Summit for Parkinson’s is creating an exciting opportunity for the Parkinson’s community and Missoula community. We are exhibiting a silent auction and live auction, both to benefit Parkinson’s Disease education, and awareness, at the Dana Gallery. The silent auction is made up entirely of items created by people with Parkinson’s Disease. Each item will be displayed with a photo of the artist and their brief Parkinson’s story. Items will be available at the Dana Gallery for the public to view through the month of October and participate in the silent auction bidding from October 7–21, 2011. The live auction features 40 pieces from some of the top artists of the Northwest. These items will be available for the public to view through the month of October at the Dana Gallery and the auction items will be available to the Gala attendee bidders and pre-registered online bidders on October 22, 2011.
